Are needles, syringes or lancets used as a part of your business? Landfill of North Iowa provides small businesses with the tools and programs to properly dispose of sharps. Our goal is to help businesses take what’s toxic out of the trash through our Biohazard Sharps and Program.
Landfill of North Iowa makes disposal safe, convenient and affordable for business in just 3 easy steps.
- Pick up sharps and biohazard containers from our Hazardous Material Facility;
- Place full sharps containers into the biohazard box for safe storage;
- Call our Hazardous Material Facility to make an appointment for drop off.
All sharps will be autoclave / sterilized, compacted, and sent to a medical waste landfill to be disposed of properly.

Option 1: $50/box
Includes 30 gallon biohazard box with liner and disposal.
Option 2:$150/package
Includes 30 gallon biohazard box with liner, 9-5 qrt.

Purchase and disposal of a single 5 qrt. sharps container-$15
Supplies may be purchased in the scale office. Appointments for disposal need to be scheduled with Regional Collection Center.
